As per a report from TeamTalk, Villa are one of the clubs keen on a move for Arsenal outcast Kieran Tierney this summer, with Celtic and a host of Italian clubs also reportedly ready to bid for the 26-year-old.

They claim that Tierney will be allowed to leave north London permanently this summer and that Arsenal will be holding out for a fee of around £26m to let him depart. This would allow them to make a profit on the £25m they paid Celtic for his services in 2019, and also fund the reportedly hefty summer transfer business of their own, which is thought to involve additions at striker and in central midfield.

Given his situation in the north London pecking order, however it seems unlikely that the Gunners will be receiving any offers in that region.

Tierney has two years left to run on his £110,000 per week contract in north London, but does not appear to have a future at the Emirates Stadium. He has spent this season on loan with Spanish outfit Real Sociedad and has done little to suggest that he will be able to add anything to Mikel Arteta's title-challenging squad, with Jakub Kiwior having looked more at-ease with the left-back role in recent weeks and Oleksandr Zinchenko still expected to be an important figure from that position.

That does not make Tierney a bad left back though. Former Chelsea star Ashley Cole showered him with praise during his first season at the Emirates, explaining: "When he’s in the team, they are a different team, he’s willing to defend, he’s that kind of leader and warrior they need in this team."

His defensive numbers speak for themselves, with the Scot among the finest in Europe when it comes to 1vs1 defending.

There’s still plenty of time remaining in the summer transfer window, however, and Forest will be well aware that Newcastle could yet come calling a second time.

If that does happen, then preparing for Elanga’s exit in a worst-case scenario would not be a bad idea for all involved at the City Ground. Already, on that front, Forest have attempted and failed to sign Timothy Weah from Juventus and have also been linked with versatile AC Milan midfielder Yunus Musah.

Whether either of those options possess the quality to replace Elanga is the big question. One man who is unlikely to face problems in that regard is Igor Jesus. The Botafogo forward is reportedly on his way to the Midlands alongside teammate Jair Cunha following their Club World Cup campaign.

The former has already stolen plenty of headlines with his winning goal against Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain and is seemingly about to take the Premier League by storm.

Nottingham Forest open talks to sign Pepe

According to ESPN Brazil, Nottingham Forest have now opened talks to sign Pepe from FC Porto, who are demanding over €15m (£12m) to sell their 28-year-old winger this summer.

An experienced winger who scored at the Club World Cup for Porto in a 4-4 draw against Al-Ahly this summer, Pepe would offer Forest instant depth and may even be asked to replace Elanga if the Swede joins Newcastle.

وقال إنفانتينو في تصريحات نقلتها “جارديان” البريطانية: “نحن بالفعل في صميم الموضوع ونناقشه طوال الوقت، الأمر لا يتعلق بكأس عالم فقط بل هو انعكاس عام، حتى اللعب في بعض الدول الأوروبية في يوليو يكون حارًا جداً، افضل شهر للعب كرة القدم وهو يونيو لكنه لا يستخدم كثيراً في أوروبا”.

وواصل: “ربما توجد طرق لتحسين التقويم، لكننا نناقشها وسنرى ما سيحدث عندما نتوصل لاستنتاجات، علينا فقط أن نكون منفتحين”.

وتابع: “من المعروف أنه إذا أردت اللعب في نفس الوقت في كل مكان فمن المرجح أن تلعب في مارس أو أكتوبر لأنه في ديسمبر لا يمكنك اللعب في مكان ما من العالم وفي يوليو لا يمكنك اللعب في مكان آخر”.

وأكمل: “علينا أن نأخذ جميع هذه العوامل في الاعتبار عند الحديث عن مسابقات المنتخبات الوطنية ومسابقات الأندية وأن نبحث كيف يمكن تحسينها بما يعود بالنفع على الجميع لذا هناك الكثير على المحك”.

Tottenham have opened talks over a deal for Dibling, following claims he would be keen on a move to north London this summer, but the youngster is not the only Premier League winger on the shortlist.

According to a report from GiveMeSport, Spurs now have a genuine interest in signing Manchester City’s Jack Grealish, with Pep Guardiola’s £100m signing potentially in line to leave this summer, having fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.

Postecoglou’s side are one of the most interested parties in the race for Grealish’s signature, should Man City be willing to let him leave for a reasonable amount, with their asking price previously being considered too high.

The Englishman would have to be willing to take a wage cut, if he were to complete a surprise move to north London, with the structure not accommodating of his £300,000-per-week earnings.

"Unbelievable" Grealish needs to move this summer

The 29-year-old’s decision to move to City was fully justified by the incredible treble-winning 2022-23 campaign, during which he received high praise from Guardiola, who described him as “unbelievable”.

However, the winger’s career has stalled somewhat recently, failing to score and picking up just one assist in the Premier League this season, having often been limited to cameo appearances from the bench.

As such, a move to Tottenham could make perfect sense for all parties, should City be willing to take a significant loss on the former Aston Villa man, and it is promising news that Postecoglou’s side hold a genuine interest.

That said, a move for Dibling could make more sense, given that the Southampton ace is still in the very early stages of his career, while Grealish will turn 30 early next season.
